1. About these terms
These terms apply to everyone who attends classes at Biozone Education Institute (conducted by Chandana Jayasinghe), whether in the hall or online, and to everyone who uses this website and student app. By registering, you and your parent or guardian agree to them. How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
2. Registration and accounts
- Students register with their own mobile number and must give correct details. A parent or guardian should know about and agree to the registration.
- New registrations are checked by the institute before access is given. We may decline or cancel a registration that uses false details.
- Each account is for one student only. Do not share your login or OTP codes. Access to classes, recordings and notes is personal.
- Keep your phone number up to date. Sign-in codes, class alerts and parent messages are sent to the numbers on your account.
3. Fees and payments
- Class fees are charged per month, per class, at the rate the institute announces. Pay by the date given, at the hall or using the method the institute tells you about.
- Access to online classes, recordings and notes for a month may depend on that month's fee being paid.
- If you pay by bank transfer, upload a clear photo of the slip. Access is given once the payment is confirmed.
- Fees already paid are not refunded, and cannot be moved to another student or another month. If there are special circumstances, speak to the institute.
4. Attendance and the hall
- Hall attendance is marked with the student's NFC card. Bring it to every class and report a lost card to the institute.
- Parents may receive an SMS when their child arrives or is marked absent.
- When dropping off or collecting students, please do not block the lane to the institute or the main road. Park well clear of the lane, and do not drive vehicles into it.
5. Class materials and recordings
Notes (tutes), papers, marking schemes, lesson videos and class recordings are the work of Chandana Jayasinghe and belong to the institute. They are for the registered student's own study only.
Do not copy, screen-record, forward, sell or upload any of these materials to WhatsApp, YouTube, Telegram, social media or any other site. Breaking this rule leads to removal from classes without a refund.
6. Behaviour
Students must be respectful to the teacher, staff and other students, in the hall, in online classes, in app chat, and in class WhatsApp groups. Spam, offensive content and sharing other students' details are not allowed. The institute may suspend or remove a student who breaks these rules.
7. Classes, schedules and the app
- We may change class times, move a class online, or cancel a session when needed. We will tell students through the app, SMS or class groups, and try to give a replacement session where possible.
- Online classes run on third-party services such as Zoom and WhatsApp. We are not responsible for outages of those services or of the student's own internet connection.
- We work to keep the app available and correct, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted.
8. Results
We teach to help every student do their best. However, exam results depend on each student's own work, so we cannot guarantee any particular grade.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and we will announce significant changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
